Cal Advantage

Cal Advantage applicants will be evaluated using the same criteria that is applied to all other Berkeley MBA applicants, which generally include demonstration of academic readiness, professional achievement, leadership potential and fit with our Defining Leadership Principles. The Berkeley Haas MBA for Executives program is a part-time degree program designed for working professionals at the executive level. The program meets you at your level and allows you to earn the Berkeley MBA degree in 22 months.  Students start the program together in late July, then live in the same hotel and attend classes on campus about once a month on Thursdays - Saturdays for the first three semesters as they move through the curriculum’s core courses. You then tailor your course of study through the final two terms as you explore different electives.

In addition, each term includes an experiential field immersion that invites deep focus on five areas: leadership, design thinking, entrepreneurship and innovation, global business, and public policy. Led and developed by top faculty, these powerful immersive courses place you on the ground in Silicon Valley, Washington, DC and in global business hubs like Shanghai or Copenhagen.

While our holistic review allows for flexibility in the evaluation criteria, we recommend that applicants have at least eight years of work experience before applying to the MBA for Executives program.
